Now Hiring: Chapter Presidents for Unified Public Advocacy

Unified Public Advocacy (UPA) is proud to be the nation’s only 501(c)(3) nonprofit public adjusting firm, built to serve policyholders in need of insurance claim support—not the insurance companies. As disasters continue to impact homes and businesses across the country, the demand for qualified public adjusters and insurance recovery experts has never been greater. That’s why UPA is now expanding nationally and seeking Chapter Presidents to lead regional operations in exclusive territories. If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to own a business with purpose, build a team, and help communities recover from disaster—this is your chance.

Who We Are: Public Adjusters for the People

UPA exists to fight for policyholder rights and ensure families and property owners receive fair compensation from insurance claims. We handle:

  • Residential and commercial property damage claims

  • Claim review and negotiation

  • Public adjuster services

  • Managed rebuild programs with vetted contractors

  • Insurance education and advocacy

Our nonprofit model is unique in the industry. We generate revenue solely from services—not donations—and operate under strict compliance with state adjuster licensing laws. With headquarters in Pennsylvania and operations across all 50 states and Puerto Rico, we are scaling our impact by onboarding territory-based Chapter Presidents committed to rebuilding communities, one claim at a time.

What Is a Chapter President?

A Chapter President with Unified Public Advocacy is a regional leader responsible for overseeing UPA’s operations in a designated territory. This includes:

  • Managing insurance claim processing

  • Hiring and supporting licensed public adjusters and sales agents

  • Partnering with contractors, restoration experts, and local organizations

  • Driving outreach and community awareness

  • Operating with full autonomy under the UPA nonprofit brand

Chapter Presidents are not franchisees—but they enjoy similar territory rights, support, and revenue potential without the heavy upfront costs or overhead of traditional business ownership.

Why We’re Hiring Chapter Presidents

Natural disasters, fires, floods, and hurricanes are becoming more frequent. Many insurance companies delay, deny, or underpay claims—leaving families and business owners in financial distress. UPA fills that gap with public insurance claim advocacy and nonprofit adjusting services. To meet growing demand, we’re building a nationwide network of Chapter Presidents who will take charge of their region, grow teams, and ensure compliance—all while backed by UPA’s national legal, compliance, and training infrastructure. This is more than a job. It’s a mission-driven business opportunity in one of the most underrepresented sectors of insurance: policyholder advocacy.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for leaders with:

  • Experience in sales, insurance, public adjusting, restoration, or leadership roles

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and lead a team

  • Strong communication skills, especially over Zoom and phone

  • Passion for helping others, especially in high-stakes situations like property loss

  • Commitment to compliance, transparency, and ethical conduct

You do not need to be a licensed public adjuster to become a Chapter President, but having familiarity with the claims process, insurance documents, or construction is a major plus.

Financial Structure & Investment

To operate a UPA Chapter, the total startup cost is $50,000. Unlike a franchise, there are no royalties or hidden fees. Here’s how it’s structured:

  • $10,000 upfront at signing

  • $40,000 financed through revenue sharing or structured payments

This investment covers:

  • Territory exclusivity

  • Full onboarding and compliance support

  • 40+ hours of training from The Academy of Adjusters

  • Access to UPA’s proprietary CRM, claim tracking, and e-signature system

  • Marketing materials and branded assets

  • Lead generation assistance and recruiting tools

The structure is designed to make it accessible while ensuring Chapter Presidents are serious, prepared, and properly equipped to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Chapter President, your weekly workflow may include:

  • Reviewing applications and interviewing new agent candidates via Zoom

  • Supporting licensed public adjusters on claim inspections and documentation

  • Attending virtual compliance meetings and leadership calls

  • Coordinating with contractors in UPA’s Managed Rebuild Program

  • Educating policyholders on their rights and recovery options

  • Tracking claim progress, team activity, and regional KPIs through our CRM

This is a remote role with occasional travel. You’ll operate independently while receiving guidance and collaboration from UPA’s national leadership team.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

There are many sales roles, business ownership opportunities, and insurance jobs out there—but very few combine financial potential with purpose and support like the Chapter President role with Unified Public Advocacy. Here’s what sets this opportunity apart:

  • Nonprofit status gives you a mission-driven edge in the marketplace

  • Exclusive territories offer long-term value and growth

  • No property tax, no royalties, no third-party interference

  • Remote-friendly structure lets you work from anywhere

  • Training and legal guidance keep you compliant in all 50 states

  • No cap on earning potential when building your team

Career and Income Potential

Chapter Presidents earn from multiple revenue streams, including:

  • Overrides on adjuster production

  • Claim payouts and contingency fees

  • Referral bonuses

  • Training and onboarding support fees

  • Rebuild coordination bonuses

Once you’re up and running, this role can become a six-figure leadership position with residual income and autonomy—especially as your region matures. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to combine income, purpose, and leadership in a career that helps real people during times of crisis.

The Path to Getting Started

We host weekly group Zoom interviews for those interested in the Recruiting & Training Manager or Chapter President role. This is the first step in qualifying candidates for one-on-one onboarding discussions. If you’re selected, we’ll walk you through:

  • Your territory availability

  • The financing and onboarding process

  • Access to our internal systems and training content

  • Legal, marketing, and operational support

UPA aims to onboard all new Chapter Presidents by May 2025—but some territories are already under agreement and will not reopen once filled.
